Donor Programs

The 2007 Great American Barbecue was a great success because of you. We were able to raise a significant amount of money for very deserving area charities. It is our goal to grow the size and scope of the event, and to build a rich tradition of community service. Plans are well underway for the 2008 event and with your help we will be well on our way to making this dream a reality.

FOOD, FUN, AND PHILANTHROPY

We enthusiastically invite you to continue that tradition by continuing your membership as a Founder of this great event. New donors will be considered “patrons.”

Gifts In Honor/In Memory
Honor family or friends, or the memory of a loved one, with a contribution to the 25-to-1 Fund. When you make a gift “In Honor,” we will send a personalized acknowledgement to the individual or family being honored.

Matching Gifts
Many employers have programs to match individual gifts to the 25-to-1 Fund, doubling or tripling your contribution. Corporations that match individual gifts are recognized in The Great American Barbecue event program. Ask your employer about their matching gift program and maximize your donation’s impact.

In-kind Donations
The Great American Barbecue welcomes contributions of items and services in support of its events. The Great American Barbecue receives in-kind donations such as printing, media, design services, catering services, computer equipment, and silent auction items or services for our fundraising events. Individuals and companies donating in-kind support are listed in the Great American Barbecue event program.

Corporate Sponsorships
Corporate sponsors are valued partners of the Great American Barbecue. Corporate support allows us to offer larger prizes in our barbecue competitions and more exciting events to the general public, all the while raising more money for charities. Our sponsors benefit from intense visibility among and personal contact with our many constituents including cooking teams from around the country, guests who visit the venue over the course of the weekend and our volunteers and supporters. Sponsors also enjoy increased customer loyalty through value-added promotional opportunities we can provide, such as exclusive sales opportunities to teams and guests and by hosting one-of-a-kind parties for employees, clients or associates during the event. By associating themselves with an exciting and worthwhile event, companies are also seen as employers of choice.

Platinum Founder - $1,000 and above

2 judge spaces for the open meat contest (must take KCBS judging course)
4 judge spaces for sauce contest

Gold Founder/Patron - $500 to $999
